Suspect arrested in connection with shooting near Montgomery College in Rockville

Rockville City Police have announced the arrest of Isaiah Warren Simpson in Washington DC in connection with the August 2 shooting in the 400 block of College Parkway.

According to RCPD, “The Rockville City Police Department worked with our partners at the Montgomery County Police Department ROPE Unit and the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force to bring Simpson to justice. Simpson is being held in D.C. pending an extradition hearing.”

On August 2, 2024, just before 4:30 p.m., RCPD and Montgomery County Fire Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a shooting in the 400 block of College Parkway. The first arriving units located an adult male outside of a residence suffering from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.
