Metallica announce M72 tour dates in Australia and New Zealand

Metallica have announced the latest additions to their ongoing M72 tour.

The band will play six shows in Australia and New Zealand in November 2025, starting on November 1st in Perth, Western Australia and in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney before concluding in Auckland on November 19th. Evanescence and Suicidal Tendencies supports you at all trade fairs.

“This is the announcement we have been wanting to make for a long time and we are beyond thrilled to have confirmed a return to Australia and New Zealand in November 2025!” says the band. “We will be performing in stadiums this time and are looking forward to visiting some of our favorite cities in the world for a total of six shows.”

“This will be the Metallica family reunion we’ve been waiting for and we can’t wait to celebrate with you next year!”

Unlike most of M72’s tour dates, where Metallica play two nights in each city, each part of a “No Repeat Weekend” show, only one show is scheduled in each city Down Under. And the staging, which saw the band playing “in the round” with the infamous snake pit in the middle of the stage, will be moved to the end of each stadium, with the snake pit located in front of the stage.

Ticket sales begin on Monday, November 4th at 12 p.m. on site. Advance sales in the fan club begin on Tuesday, October 29th. Fans can register for presale codes via Metallica’s website. Enhanced ticket experiences and travel packages are also available.

The next date on the M72 tour is next year at the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. Full dates below.
