Arizona High School Football Computer Rankings (10/21/2024)

Week 8 of 2024 Arizona High School Football The season is upon us and High School on SI has released its latest release Computer rankings for the state.

Red Mountain takes over the No. 1 spot in the Class 6A Computer Rankings after the 16:14 win last week American Leadership Academy. They come in second place Liberty Lionsfollowed by the Basha bears. Marana remains the No. 1 team in the Class 5A Computer Rankings.

SBLive’s formula was created using the linear algebra-based ranking algorithm inspired by the Colley Bias-Free Ranking method. Colley’s method was developed by Wes Colley, Ph.D., an astrophysicist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He developed his algorithm to address the subjectivity and controversy surrounding BCS college football selection in the 1990s and early 2000s using a method that did not use subjective variables.
