Bowdoin College will host the U.S. Senate candidate debate next Saturday

The Bowdoin College Democrats and Bowdoin College Conservatives have announced a third and final debate for U.S. Senate candidates in Maine on Saturday, November 2nd.

The debate will take place at 6 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium at Bowdoin College, 239 Maine St., Brunswick. Demi Kouzounas, David Costello and Jason Cherry have confirmed their participation. A motion for Sen. Angus King Jr. was still pending Thursday.

This debate is a collaboration between Bowdoin College Democrats and Bowdoin College Conservatives and is sponsored by Bowdoin’s Department of Government and Legal Studies and the McKeen Center for the Common Good. The goal of this debate is to increase voter turnout among students and youth in Maine.

The debate was planned, organized and moderated by students. All questions are written by students to address student and youth-specific issues that are at the forefront of this election. A livestream will be available to all colleges across the state and students at each of these colleges will have the opportunity to submit questions for the candidates.
