Teen found seriously injured in Central Falls, Rhode Island – NECN

A 14-year-old girl was found unconscious and hospitalized in Rhode Island on Thursday. Criminal investigations are currently underway.

According to Central Falls Police, officers were first called to the address on Earle Street in Central Falls at 8:50 a.m. for a report of an unconscious person. There they found the teen, who was taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

No further details about the teenager’s condition were released.

Central Falls Mayor Maria Rivera said the teenager was shot.

“My heart aches for her and her family as they face this unimaginable pain, and I pray with all my heart for their recovery.
