Kamala Harris accuses Trump of being too exhausted for a debate

Vice President Kamala Harris praised Republicans for their support while also criticizing the former president Donald Trump because he was too “exhausted” to participate in a CNN debate.

On Thursday morning, former Republican Shawn ReillyMayor of Waukesha, Wisconsin, endorsed the Democratic candidate along with former. Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI) as the election nears its final days.

On Wednesday night, Harris attended a CNN town hall after the former president refused to take the stage for another debate until November.

In her remarks to reporters on Thursday, Harris criticized Trump as “exhausted” and cited his comments in which she accused him of seeking “revenge” and “retaliation” if he wins back the Oval Office.

Let me start by saying that I’m really very proud to announce that we received some recommendations this morning as we rolled out recommendations. But two Republican Party leaders, the mayor of Waukesha and then of course former Rep. Fred Upton. And this, I think, continues to be evidence that people who have been leaders in our country, regardless of their political party, understand what’s at stake. And in many cases they courageously support what we need, a President of the United States who understands the obligation to uphold the Constitution of the United States and our democracy.

Last night, Trump once again refused to take part in a CNN debate because he didn’t show up. And apparently his co-workers say he’s exhausted. And the sad thing is that he’s trying to become President of the United States. Probably the hardest job in the world. And he is exhausted. I said what I meant last night, which is that a very serious decision is being presented to the American people, and that includes what we need to understand about what will happen in that decision starting January 20th. Either your choice is between a Donald Trump sitting in the Oval Office, stewing, plotting revenge and retaliation, drawing up a list of his enemies, or what I’m going to do, which is to respond to people like the people last night with a task. We understand that Need to work to uplift the American people, whether it’s through the issue of food prices and bringing them down or through investing in our economy, investing in our small businesses, investing in our families.
