Renato Moicano’s hilarious rant during Francis Ngannou’s PFL debut explained

Renato Moicano has issued a statement for a tweet directed at Francis Ngannou.

Fight fans were in an uproar as Moicano reacted to Ngannou’s performance against Renan Ferreira in his PFL debut. “The Predator” easily defeated Ferreira, knocking out the Brazilian slugger with ground-and-pound to capture the PFL Super Fight Heavyweight Championship.

Moicano made fun of Ngannou going for a takedown early on, but fans didn’t realize that “Money” was just joking.

During a recent edition of the Show Me The Money Podcast, Renato Moicano explained that he was putting himself on his knees with his post about the ouster of Francis Ngannou.

“What happened was I tried to make a joke, my brother,” Moicano said. “I shoot for takedowns in the first second of every fight. Brother, I won’t attack a striker anymore. Then when Francis shoots, I say: WTF, don’t be stupid, my brother,” and then people went crazy.

Moicano continues to climb the UFC lightweight rankings. He’s just coming off an impressive second-round TKO win over Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC Paris. It is currently unknown when Moicano will be allowed to return as he is struggling with a shoulder injury.
