Disordered Media has released a playable demo and new trailer for their upcoming first-person single-player survival horror game. oneway.exe. Revealed during the Indie Horror Showcase, the game immerses players in a twisted world where the darkest corners of the internet become reality. The first chapter of oneway.exe is scheduled to appear on PC via Steam in 2025.

In oneway.exePlayers enter a universe full of digital nightmares where the line between reality and online urban legends begins to blur. Inspired by internet creepypastas, the game introduces a variety of nightmarish characters, including the animatronic cheerleader Anita, the unsettling egg-infested host Fiona Saint-Rose and the enigmatic, frightening Spiderface. With each encounter, players must face their worst fears, with fiction coming dangerously close to deadly reality.

The free demo features seven uniquely frightening paths, each leading to several disturbing conclusions. As players navigate this expansive narrative tree, they will witness everyday environments transform into horrific and grotesque landscapes. Every decision you make is important because even the smallest action can have frightening consequences. oneway.exe focuses on survival, solving puzzles, and uncovering the sinister truth behind the mysterious executable called UNTITLED.EXE, created by three shady developers.

A nostalgic nightmare of digital horror

Set in a fully realized 3D environment, oneway.exe combines carefully crafted cutscenes with a haunting original soundtrack composed by Marcy Nabors – famous for her work on Deltarune. The game also features fully voiced dialogue, further drawing players into a narrative steeped in the eerie, nostalgic horror of internet legends. From haunted .exe files to viral urban myths, oneway.exe plays masterfully with the psychological terror that comes with digital folklore.
