Broncos WR Josh Reynolds was injured in a shooting on Friday, the team says

Denver Broncos receiver Josh Reynolds was injured in a shooting in the Denver area on Friday, according to a statement from the team.

“Josh Reynolds was the victim of a shooting in Denver on Friday and was treated for minor injuries,” the statement said. “Out of respect for the legal process, we will leave further comment on this matter to the authorities.”

According to a report from 9NEWS, a Denver television station, Reynolds and another victim were chased and shot at after leaving a strip club Friday morning.

The Broncos signed Reynolds to a two-year contract worth up to $14 million in March. He has played in five games this season and has 12 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown. During a Week 5 win against the Las Vegas Raiders, he suffered a finger injury that required minor surgery and was placed on injured reserve.

Reynolds, currently on IR, worked out on a side field at practice in Denver this week.

The 29-year-old was also on the injury list this season due to an Achilles tendon injury.
