Motorcyclist, 23, killed in Plainville crash, ID released: State Police

PLAINVILLE, CT – A 23-year-old Plainville man, Peter Mark Bienasz of Ivy Road, was killed when his motorcycle was involved in a motor vehicle accident, according to state police.

At 12:14 p.m. Thursday, a 2009 Toyota Prius was traveling eastbound on Route 72 in the left lane of two in the area of ​​Exit 4A, state police said.

Bienasz’s motorcycle was traveling in the left lane directly behind the Prius and for an “unknown reason,” the motorcycle collided with the rear of the Prius, state police said.

The motorcycle then went onto the left shoulder and collided with the metal girder guardrail, state police said.

Bienasz was ejected from the vehicle and ended up dead on his left shoulder, state police said.

Bienasz was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Prius were not injured.
