Firefighters are responding to vegetation fires along Highway 246 west of Buellton

BUELLTON, Calif. – Firefighters are responding to vegetation fires near the intersection of Highway 246 and Riverview Drive west of Buellton on Thursday.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the fires are estimated to be 25 to 30 acres in total and firefighters responded to the scene at 4:03 p.m. Thursday.

As part of the response, a single westbound lane of Highway 246 was closed. There is no exact timeline for reopening in Caltrans District 5.
