Florida sex offender escapes arrest in northern Idaho – LocalNews8.com

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho (KIFI) – US Marshals are searching for a fugitive in northern Idaho.

The U.S. Marshals Service announced in a news release Wednesday evening that it was arresting 42-year-old Christian Bert Fischer in Athol on an out-of-state warrant. They said Fischer eluded them on Kelso Lake Road and his whereabouts were unknown.

The U.S. Marshals said in January 2022 that Fischer was arrested by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Department in Florida for traveling to meet a minor. It is the use of a computer to lure a child for sexual purposes. During his arrest, Fischer found condoms, lubricants, ropes, narcotics and other sexual paraphernalia.

Fischer failed in court in February 2024 and has been on the run ever since.

Fischer is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes. Fischer is also known to dress like a woman.
