Air Jordan 1 Mid “X-Ray” release date.

Air Jordan 1 Mid “X-Ray” release date.

Does this sound familiar? Jordan Brand is releasing an Air Jordan 1 Mid that is shockingly similar to the recently released Nike Kobe 5 “X-Ray.” The truth is that all great players willingly play through pain, but these are particularly remembered for the one injury that sidelined the GOAT for almost an entire season.

In October 1985, just days into his second season in the NBA, Michael Jordan broke the navicular bone in his left foot. This would result in him missing almost the entire season, only returning for the final fifteen games of the regular season with strict minutes restrictions. The Bulls still made it to the NBA playoffs, and despite the first-round loss, Michael Jordan gave the eventual champions a stunning 63-point performance that was praised by the great Larry Bird, who famously said, “I think it is just God in disguise. “Michael Jordan.”

Said to be inspired by Michael Jordan’s foot injury in 1986, this Air Jordan 1 Mid features images of a foot x-ray applied to the sneaker’s toe box, midfoot and ankle collar. Images of a foot skeleton appear on the outsole through the translucent bottom and again on the insole above the message “Even the best get hurt.”

Alternating bright red tongue labels, an enlarged 23 on the ankle and black leather on the toe guard, ankle collar and heel complete the look.

Although a release date has not yet been announced, this Air Jordan 1 Mid – a kids-exclusive release – could release this holiday 2024 season. If so, these are certainly at the top of many vacation wish lists.
