No. 23 VB hosts No. 18 TCU at home

WACO, Texas – No. 23 Baylor Volleyball hosts No. 18 TCU in a top-25 homecoming match on Friday. First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Ferrell Center.

The Bears (12-6, 4-3) and Horned Frogs (14-4, 6-2) meet for the second time this season on Friday. On Oct. 6, Baylor lost 3-1 to TCU in Fort Worth. BU leads the home series at the Ferrell Center 12-4.

Baylor earned a 3-1 win over Houston on the road against the Frogs, dropping the first set but winning the next three. Elise McGhee led the team with 15 kills Alicia Andrews dominated the block with seven assists.

Students can take home a free Sailor Bear bucket hat while supplies last by presenting a valid Baylor student ID at the marketing table on the field.

BU is 106-47 in Big 12 games under head coaches Ryan McGuyre and have amassed a total of 232 Big 12 victories since 1996.

The Bears have had senior outside hitters at the helm for 18 games Elise McGhee (205 kills, 24 aces), senior libero Lauren Briseno (258 excavations), graduate transfer setter Jackie Barrett Frazier (496 assists) and senior middle blocker Manuela Bibinbe (51 blocks).

At 81, Briseño is just four aces away from breaking into Baylor’s career top five of rally scoring service aces. Additionally, she is 22 points away from breaking into the top 10 in career digs at BU, where she currently has 1,195 in her four-year career.
