11 years later, “Just Stealth” is released exclusively for the Xbox One

11 years later, “Just Stealth” is released exclusively for the Xbox One

After an unexpected and surprise console release, Xbox One has a new console exclusive. The game is playable on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, but only via backwards compatibility. A native Xbox Series X|S version of the game has not been released. Only one Xbox One version, and this is the only existing console version of the game. The mystery game came to PC and never to any other platform until today when it appeared stealth on Xbox One, undoubtedly giving the console its last exclusive game.

The game in question dates back to 2016, a year marked by games like Overwatch, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Inside, Pokemon Go, Persona 5, Dark Souls III, Battlefield 1, DOOM and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Blood and Wine, The Witness, Superhot, The Last Guardian, Firewatch, Final Fantasy 15, Hitman, Dishonored 2 and Titanfall 2.

It’s been a decent year for game releases. And of course there were many other games besides these, including some notable ones. For example, one of the big Steam releases of 2016 was Starbound, the debut game from developer Chucklefish. Eight years later and millions of copies sold later Starbound is now available on Xbox One after being available in testing form on the Xbox Insider app back in August.

The popular action-adventure game, which boasts an 81 rating on Metacritic and even better user reviews on Steam, is expected to come to other consoles as well. However, it is currently exclusive to the Xbox One console and retails for $14.99.

“You have fled your home and find yourself in space with a damaged ship. “Your only option is to beam down to the planet below and gather the resources you need to repair your ship, then set off to explore the vast, infinite universe,” it says in an official blurb about the game for those unfamiliar with it.

If you want to try Starbound, be prepared to invest at least 25 hours in the main phase of the game. Add in some side content and the game is closer to 60 hours long. Additionally, completionists require an additional 100 hours. In other words, it’s a pretty meaty game, especially for its $14.99 price tag.
