Stardew Valley Creator reconfirms console version 1.6 release date

Stardew Valley creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone announced this in September Version 1.6 update would be published on November 4, 2024.

We are of course still waiting for this update. So what’s the latest? You’ll be happy to know that “everything is still on track” for the console version of the game to arrive in this release window.

As mentioned, players can also expect the update to roll out when it launches on Switch and other platforms Version 1.6.9which brings it in line with the PC version.

“Everything is still on track for November 4th: Update 1.6 on Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, iOS and Android. All platforms will also receive the new update 1.6.9, including PC.”

Barone also confirmed again how you could use your existing save, but you might miss some lines of dialogue and the new farm type. He also believes some of the new content could be “better experienced” on a brand new playthrough.
