Where to watch Skate Canada: Schedule, times, channels, live streams for the 2024 figure skating event

After two decades, Skate Canada International is back in Nova Scotia.

Some of the world’s best figure skaters (including four current world champions) have gathered near Halifax for Skate Canada 2024, the second of the seven-city Grand Prix of Figure Skating series.

Many of the Canadian competitors will be on home soil trying to shine in front of their home crowd.

Virginia’s Ilia Malinin will headline the men’s event after winning Skate America 2024 last week, becoming the first singles player to open back-to-back events during the Grand Prix season. He will face challengers such as Cha Jun-Hwan and his returning comrade Jason Brown.

In the women’s event, reigning gold medalist Sakamoto Kaori will headline the event and is the favorite to win. However, she has to prevail against players like Alysa Liu, Watanabe Rinka and Kimmy Repond.

Local heroes Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps will look to repeat their emotional victory from last year’s event in Montreal. The Canadian duo Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier are also favorites to win the ice dancing event.

Where to watch Skate Canada 2024: TV channels, live streams

Skate Canada will televise highlights of the competition on Sunday on NBC.

Viewers can stream the entire competition, including daily training sessions, on Peacock. The portions that air on NBC will air on Fubo, which offers a free trial.
