The Undertaker crowns the greatest match he has ever had – TJR Wrestling

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker Booker T was a guest on a recent episode of his podcast “Six Feet Under”. Taker looked back on his illustrious career and called his WrestleMania 25 match against Shawn Michaels his crowning achievement.

The Undertaker emphasized the ease and fluidity of the match and attributed much of his success to the chemistry between himself and Michaels.

It’s probably my biggest match as far as our technical wrestling match goes. It was that simple. That’s the crazy thing about it, and I tell people this all the time, but a lot of people outside of the business don’t understand it. I just had to be the Undertaker.

The Phenom further discussed the challenges experienced wrestlers often face when working with less experienced talent. He noted that as a wrestler’s reputation increases, there is often the need to mentor less experienced opponents, which can affect timing and performance. However, with Michaels, The Undertaker found a rare balance where both could focus solely on their individual roles.

All I had to do was go out there and be myself because I knew Shawn was there for him, yeah, and he’s just one of those guys that I had really good chemistry with. And yes, it was just a magical night.

The conversation also touched on the difficulties of balancing a wrestling career with family life. The Undertaker acknowledged the challenges of finding the right balance and praised his guest, fellow WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, for seemingly achieving that balance.

You have good balance. Yes, the hard part is finding the balance between what is right and feeling what is right for me and what is right for the family. It’s hard, it’s a tough business to get a handle on all of this. But yeah, it looks like you do, man. I’m happy for you.

The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels had a rematch the following year at WrestleMania 26, this time ending the show, which was argued after they should have done the same in their first WrestleMania encounter.

Which WWE debut did Undertaker consider his greatest?

In another episode of his podcast, The Undertaker shared his thoughts on his storyline brother Kane’s unforgettable debut, describing the moment as a high point in wrestling history with its flawless execution and lasting impact.
