Tips for Celebrating the Holidays in Your Homeowners Association | Community

The Christmas season is one of the most exciting times of the year, with many people gathering with friends and family and decorating for upcoming celebrations. With all the merriment that will ensue, it is also important to be considerate of your neighbors and follow your association’s rules and policies, which are regulated in both the rules and regulations as well as the architecture and landscape.

A complete list of all applicable rules can be found on the website at SBHOA2.org/group/pages/governing-documents.

Below are some key takeaways that are especially important to keep the magic in the air and have a peaceful holiday season…

Decorate wiselyDecking the halls with seasonal ornaments is a great way to bring the holiday spirit home. Many love to spread the joy by decorating the outsides of their homes and front yards too, but before you rush up the ladder to hang the decorative lights on the side of your roof, take a quick look at the association rules for the guidelines to read for outdoor decorations, including when they can be put up (Saturday, November 23rd) – and when they can be taken down (Wednesday, January 8th). And please ensure that the decorations you put up do not obstruct the driver’s view, intrude on common areas or pose a safety risk.

Respect the noise levelWe hope you all have plenty of opportunity to eat, drink and be merry this holiday season. If you plan to host a large gathering or party, be mindful of noise levels, especially during quiet hours or late at night. Avoid excessive noise that could disturb the peace of your neighbors.

Park mapPlan ahead when it comes to parking. The holidays bring a lot of people together and that means extra cars to park. To ensure your guests are covered, learn about visitor parking rules, including the type of parking permits they may need. Street parking and extended RV parking will be permitted this holiday season for two weeks from Saturday, November 23rd through Sunday, December 8th (on Thanksgiving) and again from Saturday, December 21st through Sunday, January 5th (on Christmas). If you are at all unsure, contact the SaddleBrooke HOA-2 Management Office at 38735 S. Mountain View Boulevard or call (520) 818-1000 for more information.

We wish you a wonderful and peaceful Christmas season!
