Is “Sister Wives” canceled? New rumors explained

Certain corners of the Sister Wives The fan base is convinced that the series will be canceled after the current 19th season.

The hit TLC drama, which follows the lives of a polygamist family led by Kody Brown, is halfway through its nineteenth season. While things look a little different than before as several of Brown’s wives have left him, the Brown clan remains the crux of the reality series.

Season 19 of Sister Wives was full of drama, celebrations and even a wedding, yet no official word has been released about a possible 20th season.

Rumors of The Sister Wives cancellation

A viral Facebook post makes you think Sister Wives is about to be canceled.

The post appeared in several Facebook groups dedicated to the hit TLC series in recent weeks. The word conveys a convincing picture of the cast “Cancelled” spread across it and a headline stating that the show would end after the current 19th season.

There has been no official word from TLC or the Sister Wives team that the long-running series has lost out, but some indicators may point to impending cancellation.

In a recent episode of the series, Tony (the husband of Tony Brown’s daughter Mykelti) revealed that one of the show’s titular women, Janelle Brown, has moved to North Carolina.

One reason the series has lasted so long is that even though the Brown family fell apart at times and several of Kody Brown’s wives left him for a life outside the world of polygamy, they all stayed in the same place: Flagstaff , Arizona.

While Janelle’s move may not mean the end of the show, her absence from Flagstaff could affect her presence in Flagstaff Sister Wives and every possible decision about season 20.

The series has maintained a similar feel and cast throughout its 19 seasons, but that doesn’t mean it’s all been sunshine and rainbows.

In 2022, one of Kody Brown’s sons, Garrison Brown, took his own life, shaking the Brown family to its core. This wasn’t enough to end the series, but Garrison’s death and ongoing drama within the family could eventually lead to cancellation.

As I continue to speak The Sarah Fraser Show, Sister Wives Actress Meri Brown reflected on the series’ ending, saying: “It’s not something that will stay that way forever:”

“That’s hard to say. Is it getting bigger? Is it going downhill? I mean, we’ve been going on for so long. It’s not something that will stay that way forever. That’s just not it. No show ever lasts forever.” But you can’t predict it either. I don’t think we ever thought we would last this long, and we have.

Of course, Brown was diplomatic in her choice of words and never directly confirmed a rejection, but she could be right. No series can last forever, and Sister Wives‘The time might come; However, at least publicly, this is not the case.
