The Cheboygan Opera House has a busy schedule for November 2024

CHEBOYGAN – The calendar is quickly approaching November and next month there will be plenty of shows and concerts at the Cheboygan Opera House.

Beginning Saturday, November 2, the Opera House will host the 2024 tour of the Gordon Lightfoot Tribute, “Lightfoot – The Stories, The Songs,” with a performance at 7:30 p.m. The cast includes many of Lightfoot’s most popular hits and is accompanied by stories about how the songs were composed in a multimedia presentation. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for veterans and $15 for students.

The Northland Players will present the comedy musical “Sister Act.” A series of performances is planned for November. The performances will take place on November 8th and 9th at 7:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. on November 10th and 7:30 p.m. on November 15th and 16th. The musical is based on the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. There is a special senior price of $15 for the Nov. 10 matinee.

The Las Migas Quartet travels to Cheboygan for a concert on Sunday, November 17th at 7 p.m. Featuring singer Carolina Fernández, guitarists Marta Robles and Alicia Grillo, and violinist Laura Pacios, the group will perform a mix of modern flamenco and Mediterranean musical styles. Ticket prices vary depending on seat and age group.

Violinist Maura Shawn Scanlin and guitarist Conor Hearn of Rakish will perform a concert to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Michigan Chapter on Saturday, November 23rd at 7 p.m. The duo will perform melodies and songs from Irish and American folk traditions during the concert. All ticket proceeds benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and its Northeast Michigan Out of the Darkness Walk.
