Prime Video releases a new trailer for its TV remake “Cruel Intentions” and first images for the second season of “The Rig,” but I’m not excited about any of them

Amazon is releasing first looks at two very different TV originals coming to Prime Video soon – but I don’t think I’ll be watching either of them.

“Why not?” I hear you ask. Well, yesterday’s (October 24) trailer was unveiled for Prime Video’s TV remake of the steamy 1999 teen drama Cruel intentions did little to convince me that it would be better than his film of the same name. Okay, its stylish and modern aesthetic will surely appeal to anyone who hasn’t seen the original film. With eight episodes to explore Amazon’s darkly comedic, dramatic and erotic narrative and morally complex characters Cruel intentions The remake could surprise even me and become a huge hit for one of the best streaming services in the world.
