The Last Of Us Part 1 free download has been quietly released – Playstation

The original The Last of Us was on a long journey.

It succeeded The Last of Us Remasteredwhich in turn was followed by the remake The Last of Us Part I

If you thought this was the end of the road, then you thought wrong The Last of Us Part I has received a free mid-gen update to coincide with the launch of the PlayStation 5 Pro.

Many jokes can be made about the many editions of this game, but since it is my all-time favorite, I would be lying if I said it hasn’t been fun to see the title optimized for almost every console since its release.

When the PlayStation 5 Pro was announced, The Last of Us Part II Remastered was one of the sample games used during the presentation to demonstrate the power of the console, but we didn’t know what would happen to its predecessor.

This felt like a given Part I would also receive a free Pro update, but that has now been confirmed as Naughty Dog has already released the relevant updates for both parts of the game.

According to the patch notes, it appears that the newly added Pro modes are the same for both Part I And Part II.

Players who load either game on PlayStation 5 Pro will be able to render graphics at 1440p, with PSSR upscaling increasing the resolution to 4K.

As for the frame rate, because this is always the one that creates chatter for some reason, both Part I And Part II should maintain a target of 60 fps.

As we said, the update has already been released, so players should also see Pro Mode listed alongside the performance and fidelity options.

Of course, this will only come into effect when the PlayStation 5 Pro consoles are delivered in the coming weeks.

The console’s official launch date is November 7th.

However, if you’re someone who spent a lot of money on this piece of kit, it’s worth making sure you have this free update downloaded and ready to go.
