Police seek suspect in fatal shooting at Tulsa apartment complex

Tulsa police are searching for the suspect involved in a fatal shooting at the Apache Manor Apartments late Thursday night.

Officials said the incident began around 9:30 p.m. with a report of a fight that soon escalated into gunfire. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man in his 30s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

During the investigation, the Tulsa Police Department helicopter observed a vehicle moving from the northern portion of the complex to the central portion.

Officers on scene located the vehicle and found blood on it, although its connection to the shooting remains unclear.

Capt. Matt Arnold of the Tulsa Police Department commented on the potential dangers to residents, saying, “There are a lot of people living here and those people deserve to live in a safe environment and as long as we have people out here willing are to commit violence.” This is not a safe environment for them. We have children and families that live here and you know it’s our job to get out here and make it as safe as possible.”

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
