Friday’s football schedule includes a big MHHS game at Lake Hamilton

Friday’s high school football schedule features Mountain Home returning to the road for one of its biggest games of the year. The Bombers will travel to Pearcy to take on Lake Hamilton.
Mountain Home and the Wolves, along with Shiloh Christian, are part of a three-way battle for second place in the 6A-West. The Bombers are currently 6-1 on the season and 3-1 in the conference after winning their home game against Siloam Springs. Lake Hamilton fell to 5-2 and 3-1 last week after suffering a five-touchdown loss at Greenwood.
This week’s game could have seeding implications heading into the Class 6A state playoffs, and Mountain Home head coach Steve Ary says his team is well aware of that fact.

Kickoff at Wolf Stadium is scheduled for 7 a.m. Friday’s game will be broadcast on Classic Hits 101.7 and streamed live on ktlo.com and the Bomber Sports Network on YouTube. Radio coverage begins around 5:15 p.m. with the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas High School game day

Elsewhere in the 6A-West, Russellville hosts Fort Smith Southside, Shiloh Christian travels to Siloam Springs and Van Buren hosts Greenwood.

Yellville-Summit will have its final road trip of the season. The Panthers face Melbourne on Friday.
Yellville-Summit is currently 2-5 on the year and 0-4 in 3A-2. Last week the Panthers lost in Salem. Melbourne is 5-2 and 2-2. The Bearkatz earned a point win against Atkins.
Yellville Summit head coach Chaseton McCarthy says his team will face a Melbourne team capable of picking up a lot of points.

Also in 3A-2, Salem is at home against Mountain View, Quitman travels to Atkins and Mayflower travels to Little Rock to face Episcopal Collegiate.

Among others, Izard County travels to Marked Tree, Harrison hosts Vilonia, West Plains hosts Carl Junction, Hollister plays Reeds Spring, Forsyth travels to Buffalo and Branson hosts Springfield Hillcrest.

The Arkansas Sports Media Top 10 pits two games against each other. Second-seeded Conway travels to Little Rock to face No. 7 Pulaski Academy and No. 6 Bentonville hosts ninth-seeded Rogers.

Marshall begins its postseason by competing in the Eight-Man Club Division State Playoffs. The Bobcats will have home field advantage in their semifinal game against Subiaco Academy.
