World Series schedule 2024: Dates, start times, channels, results for every Yankees vs. Dodgers game

The stars are heading to the World Series as the Yankees and Dodgers battle for the title in a titanic showdown.

The Yankees are returning to the Fall Classic for the first time since 2009, thanks in large part to their trio of heralded sluggers: Aaron Judge, Juan Soto and Giancarlo Stanton.

Soto hit a game-winning three-run home run in the 10th inning of Game 5 of the ALCS, a mesmerizing blast that brought New York to the brink of the World Series. Stanton, the ALCS MVP, hit four home runs in the series. And Judge just put together arguably the best single season ever by a right-handed hitter.

On the other side, an equally impressive offense is on the horizon as Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts catapult the Dodgers into the World Series for the first time since 2020. Ohtani, playing in his first postseason, reached base 17 times in the NLCS, establishing a new franchise record. Betts, who made the playoffs against October Demons, hit four home runs.

The traditional franchises met twelve times in the World Series, five times more than in any other duel. But they haven’t prevailed in the Fall Classic since 1981.
