RAYE reveals why the second album won’t be released “any time soon”.

To mark her 27th birthday, Raye shared a not-so-celebratory post on Instagram to share why her highly anticipated second album isn’t coming out “any time soon.”

The musician explained in the caption: “It’s my birthday and my car was stolen with all my songwriting books in the trunk, so there won’t be a second album any time soon. Love you bye.”

Raye paired the announcement with a carousel of photos celebrating her birthday. One of them featured a cake with the words “Sorry, your car was stolen.”

The follow-up too My 21st century blues was highly anticipated as the artist’s fan base doubled before she left her previous label.

RAYE has previously had issues releasing her records, with the singer being vocal about her difficulties releasing her debut album due to issues with her label at the time.

The singer-songwriter made history at the Brit Awards in March this year, winning six of the seven awards she was nominated for, including the prestigious songwriter of the year award.
