Kinston police identify additional suspect in murder investigation – Neuse News

On Monday, September 23, 2024, Kinston Police Department investigators secured arrest warrants for 21-year-old Bryson Bradley of Lenoir County. He is charged in connection with the murder of Korie Williams and the attempted murders of Yahmmek Coward, Lyasia Lawson and Deshakeen Turnage.

The investigation is ongoing and further arrests are expected. On Friday, September 20, 2024, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Kinston Police Officers responded to the 300 block of S. McDaniels St., Kinston, NC for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found two people suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Lenoir County EMS was called to the scene and both victims were transported to UNC Lenoir for treatment. En route to the hospital, one of the victims, Korie Williams, 25, of Kinston, was pronounced deceased and the second victim, Yameek Coward, 18, of Kinston, was referred to ECU Health for treatment. Kinston Police Department investigators responded to the scene and are currently following up on leads.
