Speaking with Francine on Eyes Up Here, RJ City opened up about why Meal and a Match was on hiatus and discussed filming more episodes.

“Renee and I came up with the idea and pitched it for a while. It takes a while to put something into action. We basically did this as a pilot to make a demo and show it to people so they could get the green light. We filmed.” All day with Eddie Kingston. We didn’t know what we were going to do with it. They liked it so much that they said, “Let’s put it out on the first episode.” It says, “New episode one.” Maybe we shouldn’t have done that until we had others in the can. It took a while before we thought, ‘Maybe you shouldn’t have done that.’ We put it out until we had a schedule for more episodes.” Now we have more than one episode. I don’t know if they came out a few weeks ago in what we ate and with whom, but the next day Renee threw up three times. City said.

At this time, there is no concrete information as to when AEW Meal and a Match will return. Fightful will provide further information as it becomes available.
