Longtime Administrative Secretary Honored by the Phoenix Fire Department

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Whether it’s a fire or a medical emergency, our firefighters are on the front lines keeping us safe. However, there are many people behind the scenes making sure operations run smoothly.

Ellen Hemauer is one of those helping the community! She is celebrating her 35th year with the City of Phoenix as administrative secretary for the Phoenix Fire Department.

Phoenix Fire wrote on its Facebook page: “Ellen has worked closely with the last four fire chiefs and ensured everything runs smoothly at the leadership level.” Her dedication, organization and positive spirit were crucial in keeping us on the right track remain at the forefront of public safety.”

Firefighters say Ellen’s dependability and warm smile brighten the days of those around her. She’s also celebrating her birthday this week!

“She is truly one of our department’s unsung heroes, and we are grateful for her unwavering service,” the department wrote.

Happy birthday, Ellen, and great job on your 35th birthday!
