BRONX, NY – The Fordham University Rams continue the 2024 season, Fordham’s 124th varsity season, by traveling to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to face the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks at Goodman Stadium on Saturday, October 26, 12:00 p.m to compete in a Patriot League competition

The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Marco Socci (pbp) and Jim Guzzo (analyst) announcing, and broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and wfuvsports.org with Lou Orlando (pbp) and Evan Harkin (analyst ) take over the tasks of the announcement.


Fordham enters the game with an overall record of 0-7, 0-2 in the Patriot League following a 19-16 Patriot League loss at Holy Cross on Oct. 12, while Lehigh has an overall record of 3-3, 0 :1, enters the Patriot League competition after a 38-23 loss at Yale last Saturday.

Saturday’s game will be the 36th meeting between Fordham and Lehigh on the gridiron. The Mountain Hawks lead the all-time series, which began in 1923, 25-10. Fordham has won the last three meetings, including a 38-35 victory at Moglia Stadium last October Brandon Peskin As time expired to lead the Rams to the homecoming victory, he made a 45-yard field goal, his third of the game.


A few notes about the game:


• This will be Fordham’s second straight game on natural grass.


• The Fordham Rams have thrown the second-most touchdown passes of any NCAA FCS school over the past three years.


• The Rams had a school-record 58 hits in 2022 (including 56 from Tim DeMorat, who set a school and Patriot League record) and 26 from quarterback CJ Montes last year, and this year there were four, for a total of 88.


• The 2024 Fordham football team will play four of its first five games and five of its first seven games on the road.


• The last time the Rams played four of their first five road games was 2011.


• Fordham senior linebacker James Conway has 413 total tackles, second on the Fordham career list. He is only 12 tackles short Ryan GreenhagenFordham’s career record.


• Fordham senior running back Julius Loughridgewho rushed for more than 100 yards in two of his three games in 2024, has 2,618 career rushing yards, ranking him seventh on the Fordham all-time rushing list.


• Loughridge also has 23 career rushing touchdowns, ninth all-time for the Rams.


• Student defensive back Nahil Perkins ranks third in the NCAA FCS in passes defended with an average of 1.7/game.


• Fordham senior linebacker James ConwaySenior defensive lineman Matt Jaworskiand junior quarterback CJ Montes were named to the 2024 Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Team.


• Fordham will be represented by six captains in 2024: Senior defensive lineman Matt JaworskiStudent wide receiver Mekai FeltonOffensive linemen for graduate students Ryan Joyce (serving as captain for the second consecutive year), sophomore defensive back Nahil Perkinsand linebacker for graduate students Mike Courtney.


• Two former Fordham football Rams are currently on NFL rosters. Run back Chase Edmondswho was drafted in the fourth round by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2018 draft, is a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but will miss the 2024 season due to an injury as an offensive lineman Nick Zakeljwho was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by San Francisco and is entering his third year with the 49ers.
