October job vacancies and demand report published

SOUTH-CENTRAL KENTUCKY – The South Central Kentucky Job Vacancies and Demand Report has been released for October.

According to the release, at the end of each month, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce used data from Chmura Economics to produce a report on current and future labor demand in the 10 counties.

These include Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson and Warren counties.

As of October 25, there are 10,687 job openings in all 10 counties.

Here’s a breakdown of how many open positions there are in each county:

  1. Allen: 393
  2. Infertile: 1,223
  3. Butler: 214
  4. Edmonson: 179
  5. Hard: 346
  6. Logan: 622
  7. Metcalfe: 129
  8. Monroe: 134
  9. Simpson: 858
  10. Warren: 6,589

Currently, registered nurses hold the top spot for the most job postings, with 703, in the Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck sectors
According to the report, drivers sit on 547 posts.
