“The Smith family is excited to vacation on the small Swedish island of Svälta, but is unsettled by the unfriendly mainlanders who advise them to avoid the island at all costs, especially during the Karantan festival,” it says the official synopsis of the film.

“But the family of four urgently needs a break and stubbornly decides to take the ferry anyway.”

On the island, the locals seem uninterested in helping the Smiths and leave the group to fend for themselves. As time passes, the strange behavior of the residents suggests that a major event is about to occur.

“Is it a cult? Is there a victim in the works?” The logline continues.

“Seemingly unfazed by so much rudeness and drama, the family enjoys a dip in the sea, hikes in the woods and, oh, quiet isolation… which turns out to be a pretty perfect situation for the Smiths, who have special plans of their own.”

Go away had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest last month (September 20), with several fans taking to social media to share their thoughts.

Many viewers praised Frost’s “goofy” and “mesmerizing” performance, as well as an “unexpected” twist that occurred near the end of the film.

Go away is the first film that Nick has both written and starred in, and his passion for the project has permeated every element – making it very special,” said Julia Stuart, director of the original Sky film.

“The film has all the hallmarks that fans love from Nick’s dark horror comedy – big laughs, crazy surprises and outrageous gore – along with an outstanding, top-notch British ensemble cast. We know our audience will love traveling together on this great family vacation.”

Frost added: “The chance to bring the film to Sky and be part of their Originals team feels a little too good to be true. It feels like the perfect place to curl up and watch a giant ball of comedy horror. Be there! “

Go away will premiere on Sky Cinema on January 10, 2025.
