Where to drop off your unwanted medications

Where to drop off your unwanted medications

Maine (WABI) – On Saturday, law enforcement agencies across the state will participate in National Drug Take Back Day.

The event aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible way for people to dispose of unused, expired, or unwanted medications.

To prepare for Take Back Day, officials say you should take inventory of your medications and identify which are unwanted or expired.

You should label each of those identified medications with clear signage then drop them off at a collection site from ten to two.

A full list of collection sites around Maine can be found here.

Saturday, October 26 is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day!

We are joining others across the nation in encouraging people to clean out medicine cabinets, drawers, and other locations of unneeded or expired medication and dropping it off at a designated prescription drug take back location.

We offer convenient and easy medication drop offs at any of our pharmacy locations – NorthernLightHealth.org/Pharmacy.
