Redbird Football announces schedule for 2025 season

NORMAL, Illustrated – With the 2024 Redbird football team in need of a much-needed bye week, the program has announced its full 2025 schedule, which begins with an Aug. 30 contest at perennial powerhouse Oklahoma.

After beating the Sooners, the Redbirds return home to host Morehead State on September 6th before continuing the Mid-America Classic rivalry with in-state opponent Eastern Illinois on September 13th in Charleston. After a bye week on September 20th, ISU will host North Alabama at Hancock Stadium on September 27th as part of Family Weekend festivities.

Missouri Valley Football Conference action begins the following week when North Dakota State returns to Hancock Stadium for the second straight year to face the Redbirds on October 4th. Following the game there will be a trip to Murray, Ky. Murray State on Oct. 11 before the annual homecoming game against Youngstown State on Oct. 18 at Hancock Stadium. The month of October concludes with a game at South Dakota on October 25th before the Redbirds open the month of November at home against UNI on November 1st.

Next up for ISU is a road contest on November 8th at Indiana State, then travels to Brookings, SD the following week to face South Dakota State on November 15th. The Redbirds will close out the regular season at home as they host rival Southern Illinois on Senior Day on November 22nd at Hancock Stadium.
