Charges have been filed in three separate shooting cases

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Three people charged in separate shooting investigations were indicted by a Brazos County grand jury this week.

Kevin Henriquez was arrested after an officer-involved shooting in Bryan last month. He was charged with aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault on an officer, both first-degree felonies. The 23-year-old Houston man is accused of holding his girlfriend at gunpoint at an apartment complex on S. Ennis Street and then firing the gun at a Bryan police officer. The officer returned fire but suffered no serious injuries. Henriquez remains in the Brazos County Detention Center on bonds totaling $380,000.

Dequajna Johnson was arrested and charged with murder in the August shooting of another woman. The 22-year-old from Bryan turned herself in to police after the fatal shooting of Keianna Hines on Dansby Street. Bryan police said the two had had arguments in the past about their relationship with the same man.

Jaylen Moseley was arrested last summer after a 17-year-old was shot in College Station. The 18-year-old was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and remains in jail on $150,000 bond. College Station police said Moseley shot Richard Elijah Hilton at an apartment complex after an argument broke out on social media.

An indictment is filed when a grand jury votes on whether there is enough evidence to formally charge the defendant with a crime.

This is not a statement of guilt or innocence in a case.
