Gillibrand/Sapraicone Senate Debate – Mountain Lake PBS

The only debate for the U.S. Senate race here in New York between incumbent Kirsten Gillibrand, who is seeking a third term, and her Republican challenger Michael Sapraicone took place this week in Albany and was broadcast by Spectrum News.
The candidates only agreed to a debate moderated by Spectrum News, which took place in Page Hall on the University at Albany campus. They were asked about a Siena Research poll showing 51% of New Yorkers believe the state is on the wrong track. The two were also asked about the economic situation and the rise in prices and inflation in recent years. And both candidates also weighed in on Proposition 1, the Equal Rights Amendment, which is on the ballot in New York this November. The candidates were also asked about immigration.
