Beyoncé performs at Kamala Harris’ rally in Houston

Beyoncé will perform live at a Kamala Harris rally in Houston on Friday afternoon. The Houston-born singer gave the Harris campaign permission to use her song “Freedom” months ago.

Beyoncé will take the stage at a Kamala Harris rally in Houston on Friday.

The 43-year-old singer, who grew up in Houston, has not yet officially endorsed Harris for president. But she gave the campaign permission to use her song “Freedom” as the soundtrack for Harris’ first campaign video back in July, when Harris first announced she would run for president.

The Beyhive expects the singer to sing “Freedom,” taken from the star’s breakthrough 2016 album Lemonade, among several other tracks. It wasn’t immediately clear when Beyoncé is scheduled to perform on Friday or whether it will take place before or after Harris takes the stage to address the crowd around 8:30 p.m. CT.

USA TODAY will broadcast Beyoncé’s performance at the rally live, so be sure to check it out.
