3 minors among 5 people allegedly involved in Westport Media Collective shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Three minors were among five people allegedly involved in a shooting that injured five people at a store near Westport, police said.

Two adults were also allegedly involved, Ofc said. Alayna Gonzalez, spokeswoman for the Kansas City, Missouri, police department.

On Oct. 9, officers responded to the area to reports of a shooting just after 8 p.m

Upon arrival, police found three shooting victims critically injured; Two other victims were taken to area hospitals with gunshot wounds.

Police said the shooting began at Westport Media Collective, a business that the city of Kansas City has since shut down after an investigation found it was operating without a proper license.

Investigators have submitted a file to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office to review the charges.
