It is not yet known when the new court date will be. Watkins is not required to appear in court because this is his first appearance.

Watkins has not been with the Gamecocks since her arrest and is suspended from team activities until further notice.

“The status is still the same. “Nothing has moved yet and we won’t move anything until their situation calms down a little bit,” South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley said on Sept. 24. “And that’s out of their control and out of our control.”

The Gamecocks play Clayton State on Monday, October 28th at Colonial Life Arena.

Their first regular season game is Monday, November 4th against Michigan in Las Vegas.

Watkins, a Cardinal Newman graduate, is in her junior season with the Gamecocks, the reigning national champions.
