ENTHEOS – “Return To Me” video released; New EP available now

ENTHEOS – “Return To Me” video released; New EP available now

“Return To Me” is the latest video (directed by My Good Eye Visuals) from progressive death metal duo Entheos. The wild new track comes from the band’s An End To Everything EP, available via Metal Blade Records.

Vocalist Chaney Crabb comments: “Lyrically, ‘Return To Me’ is about the fear of watching someone you love throw their life away, while conveying the perspective that we will all inevitably face death, no matter how we live our lives.” Musically, it’s the simple melodic idea in the intro that creates the entire song. We really wanted this song to have a dark, almost black metal vibe while still keeping our own heavy and progressive edge.

Entheos combines elements from countless genres – including death metal, groove, grunge, electronica, slam, gothic rock, jazz, prog and more – and pushes progressive death metal in ever more imaginative directions. With each new release, Entheos continues to progress.

Comments from singer Chaney Crabb on her latest release: “The title and lyrics of “An End To Everything” are significant on a personal level and represent an era in my life that ended with the death of a close friend due to addiction. This person had succeeded in life, whereas they fell victim to many adversities but ultimately failed because of their own poor decisions. “An End to Everything” is about the nature of the darkness of life and the human experience.

“Musically, our goal on this EP was to write five songs that could stand alone as singles or be cohesive as a collection. As always, our goal was to incorporate many different musical influences and mix them in a succinct way. Over time Over the course of three months, from demo stage to completion, alongside Mark Lewis, who co-produced and engineered the EP, we worked to create five tracks that are uniquely ‘Entheos’ and we are incredibly proud of that Result.”

Ahead of the release, the band is unveiling a video for the track “All For Nothing” today. Crabb elaborates: “’All For Nothing’ is a song about existential reflection and the idea that the things we seek in this life, no matter how significant they may be, may serve no purpose in the grand scheme of things. Musically, we wanted to write a more straightforward, catchy death metal song and include a “big chorus” ending.”
