UFC knockouts have dropped 30% since the major glove redesign

Since June 1st, the UFC has seen a significant decline in KO/TKO finishes.

On June 1, the UFC debuted its new glove design at UFC 302 and went without a single knockout throughout the entire event. Since then (through October 25), the UFC has seen a 30% decline in KO/TKO finishes.

Prior to UFC 302, the UFC held 213 fights in 2024. As of October 25, the UFC has fought 215 fights since the gloves were introduced, and with the new glove design, the UFC has fought more fights with fewer knockouts.

Prior to UFC 302, there were 68 finishes by KO/TKO.

Since the new glove was introduced, 47 knockouts have been recorded.

Data takes into account all KO/TKO finishes, including knees, elbows and kicks. The UFC needs to finalize its 2024 schedule before any major conclusions can be made.
