Safety tips for trick-or-treaters

Honolulu (KHON2) – With Halloween just around the corner, safety while trick-or-treating is also important.

Drivers are advised to book a ride if they plan to have a drink that evening.

Please be particularly careful in areas where there are many children.

When trick-or-treating with the keiki at night, it helps to put up flashing lights or use glow sticks.

Homecoming returns to the UH Manoa campus

If you can’t attach flashing lights, reflective slap bracelets are another great option.

Finally, it is important to ensure that children do not trick-or-treat and use the sidewalks alone.

If there is no sidewalk, please walk in single file facing traffic.
