‘Beauty in Black’ Season 2 Gets Exciting Announcement From Star

The stars behind Black in beauty provided what may be the first confirmation of a possible second season.

Produced by Tyler Perry, the hit Netflix drama premiered on the streamer on October 24th and tells the story of a stripper whose life changes forever when she comes into contact with a dangerous, wealthy family

While Season 1 may end on a shocking cliffhanger, there is little information about the episodes.

Beauty in Black Season 2 is an attempt

Beauty in black

In the wake of Beauty in Black’s debut, the biggest stars confirmed that plans for the future of the series are in the works.

Taylor Polidore Williams and Crystle Stewart, who play Kimmie and Mallory respectively, made the announcement to Fox10 News “There is a second part” but wouldn’t elaborate beyond this official confirmation:

Q: “Now Part 1 of the drama series will air on Thursday. There’s a second part, right?”

Stewart: “There is a second part. They are wrong for – By the end of Part 1 you will be angry.”

Williams: “The ultimate cliffhanger.”

Stewart: “You’re going to be upset. I’m telling you now.”

This is the first time fans are hearing about the possible second season of the Tyler Perry-produced Netflix drama. At this point, there is little information about the next episodes, and some are wondering if there is more on the schedule.

In a conversation with Ts Madison before the series’ release, Perry mentioned the idea of a possible sequel. However, this seems to be more of a passing mention than an acknowledgment:

“I love this guy, so I’m rethinking the entire next season because I have to figure out how to make this last forever… Mr. Ricco Ross.”

How likely is Beauty in Black Season 2?

Without official confirmation Beauty in black Now that season two has been released, aside from these comments from Taylor Polidore Williams and Crystle Stewart, fans will certainly be nervous as they make their way through the first eight episodes of the series.

What is interesting, however, is that the… Beauty in black The story seems to be only half over.

Netflix initially ordered the series for 16 episodes. It’s the first project under Typer Perry’s new deal with the streamer, having only released eight episodes to date.

It remains unclear whether all 16 episodes have been filmed or whether the team will have to go back in front of the camera to complete this first round. If they are in the can, then Season 1, Part 2 could be within reach. However, if not, they could be converted into a proper Season 2 on the platform.

From the outside looking in, it seems very likely that the second half of this first job has been filmed and the team is just sitting and waiting. That would make sense since Williams and Stewart apparently know exactly what happens in Season 1, Part 2.

Perry’s comments on “Rethink the entire next season” could actually refer to the actual second season, which he might be thinking about right now.

Beauty in black is streaming on Netflix.
