UFC 308 is shaping up to be one of the best and most comprehensive martial arts offerings on the calendar this year. The card is titled “Arguably the best fight in the world.” UFC can now book between Ilia “El Matador” Topuria and Max “Blessed” Holloway. There are also significant competitions at middleweight (Chimaev vs. Whittaker), light heavyweight (Ankalaev vs. Rakic) and featherweight (Murphy vs. Ige).

MMA DFS and betting breakdown for UFC 308 – Topuria vs. Holloway

Rinat Fakhretdinov $8,900 vs. Carlos Leal $7,300

Fight odds: -230 Fakhretdinov vs. +190 Leal
Weight class: 170 pounds. (welterweight)

CarlosLealUFC

Carlos Leal accepted this UFC Short-term debut as a replacement for Nursulton Ruziboev. Leal appears to be in phenomenal shape and he has had legitimate wins outside of the stadium UFC about people like Ray Cooper III (24-7-1), David Zawada (18-7), Dilano Taylor (10-4) and Korey Kuppe (9-4). He takes over the pentathlon UFC Veteran Rinat Fakhretdinov, a 33-year-old Russian who has put in solid winning performances (UDEC vs. Battle, SUB1 vs. Lee) and about performances like his last two fights against Nicolas Dalby (SDECalmost TKO‘d in Rd. 3) and Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos (draw, almost KO in Rd. 3).

Leal has never been knocked out and has 10 knockout victories. Therefore, I expect Rinat Fakhretdinov to try to use his wrestling and grappling to get the win here. Although he is capable of defeating Leal and perhaps bringing him back, Leal has only been called up as a pro once and his last loss was a split decision to Sadibou Sy (17-8-2). Leal is a real underdog in this fight because of his strength, his tenacity and his opponent’s mistakes. Rinat Fakhretdinov can win this fight, but it is a matter of time before he is stopped UFC.

Forecast: Fakhretdinov about SUB/SDEC or Leal via KO/SDEC

Ismail Naurdiev $8,300 vs. Bruno Silva $7,900
