Hollywood actor Ben Affleck is reportedly ready to dive back into the dating network following his public split from Jennifer Lopez.

However, he placed a certain condition on his future girlfriend: she should “be sober or in recovery,” he reported Daily Mail.

This is happening because Affleck has committed to staying sober himself, which he puts above all else.

Lopez and Affleck married in July 2022 and Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024.

The actor still believes in relationships

An insider told the portal: “Ben hasn’t given up on relationships and finally feels ready to move on and start dating again.”

“He won’t do anything serious until the divorce is finalized, but that doesn’t mean he can’t date.”

Before Lopez, Affleck was married to actress Jennifer Garner, with whom he has three children: Violet, Fin and Samuel.

Affleck’s commitment to sobriety amid personal challenges

The insider added that Affleck is still committed to his recovery despite the difficulties of the past two years.

“The last two years have been tough for Ben and as he begins to heal, one thing is clear: his recovery is his priority. He’s not going to jeopardize his sobriety.”

Affleck first sought treatment for his alcoholism in 2001.

He reportedly returned to rehab in 2017 and 2018.

The source also added: “Ben tries not to read the news, but it upset him that people thought he had relapsed because he hadn’t.”
