Kansas high school football brackets released

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The regular season is over and now it’s time for playoff football.

Here’s a look at some schools in the WIBW watch area that will compete in the postseason next week.

Home teams on the left

6A WEST

No. 2 Manhattan vs. No. 12 Wichita North

• Manhattan (8-0) hosts Wichita North (0-8) on Friday, November 1 at 7 p.m

No. 8 Junction City vs. No. 9 Topeka High

• The two Centennial League opponents will meet in the postseason. Junction City (4-4) defeated Topeka High (4-4) 50-21 in the last match on October 11th. The return leg from two weeks ago will take place on November 1st at 7 p.m. in Junction City

#7 Corn vs. #10 Washburn Rural

• Washburn Rural (3-5) travels to Maize (4-4) on November 1st for the first round starting at 7 p.m.

5A EAST

No. 8 Highland Park vs. No. 9 Pittsburg

• Highland Park (6-2) hosts Pittsburg (6-2) at Hummer Sports Park in Topeka on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.

No. 5 Spring Hill vs. No. 12 Shawnee Heights

• Shawnee Heights (2-6) will face Spring Hill (7-1) on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m

5A WEST

No. 3 Seaman vs. No. 14 Topeka West

• City and conference opponents meet again. Seaman (6-2) and Topeka West (1-7) last met on September 20th. The Vikings defeated the Chargers 53-6. They will take the field at Seaman High School on November 1st at 7 p.m.

No. 2 Goddard-Eisenhower vs. No. 15 Emporia

• Emporia (0-8) travels to Goddard-Eisenhower (6-2) on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.

4A WEST

No. 1 Wamego vs. No. 16 Independence

• Wamego (7-1) hosts a winless Independence team (0-8) in the opening round. Game time is November 1st at 7 p.m.

No. 8 McPherson vs. No. 9 Abilene

• Abilene (3-5) will face McPherson (4-4) in the opening round. Game time is November 1st at 7 p.m.

No. 8 Holton vs. No. 9 Burlington

• Holton (4-4) will host a (4-4) Burlington team in the opening round. Game time is November 1st at 7 p.m.
