It’s semifinal day on the ATP and WTA tours, and some of the world’s best players are just one win away from securing their spots in Sunday’s showpiece tournament.

Before we look at the rest of the day, there is already the result of the first semi-final in Tokyo, where ninth seed Katie Boulter (28) was beaten by Sofia Kenin (25) 6:4, 6:4. .
