Rama Ekadashi 2024: Meaning

Rama Ekadashi has immense religious and spiritual significance as it takes place in the auspicious month of Kartik, which is solely dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is believed that believers who fast on this day will be freed from all sins and sufferings. This Ekadashi is also known as Rambha Ekadashi and Kartik Krishna Ekadashi. According to the Tamil calendar, Rama Ekadashi falls in the month of Purattasi, while in Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh it occurs during Ashwina or Ashwayuja. Devotees take part in fasting and pray to Lord Vishnu with deep devotion and devotion. It is believed that observing this Ekadashi can free people from serious sins, including Brahma Hatya (the killing of a Brahmin), and lead them to salvation. 7. Break your fast with fruits and dairy products.
8. Devotees can complete their fast on Dwadashi Tithi during Parana period.
