10 Kyle students were arrested after reportedly stealing Halloween decorations

Ten Texas State University students were arrested early Friday morning after Halloween decorations were reported stolen on Hometown Parkway.

On Friday at approximately 12:48 p.m., Kyle Police responded to a call regarding the theft of Halloween decorations reportedly worth $500.

Upon arrival, officers reviewed video footage that identified the suspect and vehicle. Officers then found a silver Ford F-150 matching the description in the footage with the stolen decorations visible.

There were ten men in the vehicle between the ages of 18 and 20, all of whom were wearing masks. A pair of scissors used to cut and damage decorations was found on one of the suspects. During questioning, all subjects admitted to traveling to Kyle to steal Halloween decorations.

Police also discovered THC, alcohol and a fake ID in the vehicle. The suspects are accused of engaging in organized crime, criminal mischief and theft of property.

The defendants were 19-year-old Jaevin Guidry, 20-year-old Brayden Golden, 20-year-old Nico Lawrence, 20-year-old Casey Silvius, 18-year-old Nathaniel Houck Noah Cazares, 19-year-old Landon Solis , 19-year-old Aydien Jackson, 18-year-old Enrique Galindo and 18-year-old Marcus Jay Valdez.

In addition to the previously listed charges, Lawrence is charged with possession of a controlled substance and Golden is charged with possession of a false driver’s license.

Kyle police later reported that all recovered stolen property had been returned. They also encouraged anyone who needs to report stolen property to file an online police report at https://www.cityofkyle.com/…/file-online-police-report.
